Summer Thrill

The Pegaso Thrill was the Spanish offering for the Turin Auto Show in 1953.  It's wonderful two tone coachwork was by Touring.

The girl's name is Summer.  Summer works at my favorite hangout, The Vintage Tavern in Smyrna, Georgia.  I felt the car and Summer were a natural combination.

Car in colored ink.  Summer in prismacolor pencil.

Lucy Blue

In 1940, Lucy O'Reilly Schell entered two Maserati 8CTF racing cars in the Indy 500.  Despite the fact that Europe was already at war she managed to get the two cars, her drivers and mechanic to the race.  An Irish American who lived in France, she the Italian race cars painted French Racing Blue.  One of her cars finished 10th.  A sister car owned by Mike Boyle and driven by Wilbur Shaw won the race for the 2nd year in a row.
